Sustainability is a core element of our service offering and an increasingly key service requirement of our clients. Corporate responsibility, financial incentives, community expectation and legislation are all driving this change. Brookfield Multiplex Services has a focus on this area and offers a range of services tailored to suit individual requirements.

Property and Facility Managers are accountable for energy and water consumption in a building and can optimise efficiency and help clients achieve their Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) goals and objectives. They are aware of their important role in the ongoing environmental performance of the properties they manage. They understand the importance of working closely with all stakeholders, including occupants and service providers, to achieve the best sustainability results.

Our experience includes managing projects for both new and existing properties. We provide existing properties with general building performance assistance as well as specialist analysis and advice on improving current ratings. This includes expertise and support in day-to-day management, data collection, analysis and reporting.


There are a number of sustainability initiatives which we have implemented. They include but are not limited to –

1. Pioneering the development of a Sustainable Facilities Management training program through a partnership with the University of New England and University of Sydney.

2. Research programme (in partnership with the University of New South Wales) focussed on “do sustainable buildings deliver better productivity?” This used the Macquarie Bank building at King Street Wharf Sydney as the case study.
